Orthophoto and Google Earth Enterprise in the CONSIP catalogue

Two products created by e-GEOS and supplied by Telespazio have been added to the CONSIP-managed Italian public administration purchasing website, through which government departments can purchase products and services directly at agreed prices.

The programme to streamline public administration procurement was set up under the 2000 Budget. Its aim is to optimise the public purchasing of goods and services and, through its operations, to contribute to the development of provisioning models based on innovative processes and technology.

Under this programme, CONSIP's role is to analyse the supply and demand market, develop purchasing initiatives that meet the requirements of government departments and also to provide consultancy services and expertise in the area of purchasing for specific requirements. Supplier companies contribute to increasing the catalogue range with their products and services. Government departments can purchase goods and services directly at agreed prices and conditions without having to go through complex tender procedures.
In this context, Telespazio is adding two e-GEOS products to the catalogue:

  • RealVista orthophoto in 50-cm/pixel resolution – continuous geographical area of 100 sq. km. – coverage available: the whole of Italy
  • RealVista orthophoto bundle with Google Earth Enterprise (GEE) technology platform offered for regions with geographical coverage of up to 11,000 sq. km.
