DESCW (Display Earth remote sensing Swath Coverage for Windows) is a multimission software tool created to allow you to display Earth Observation satellites (ERS-1, ERS-2, LANDSAT missions, JERS-1 and - preliminary - ENVISAT) coverage over an Earth Map. It will help you in selecting and ordering your remote sensing products from several missions.
It provides the location of all scenes, whether "Available" (already acquired), "Planned" (future passes) or "Visible" (scenes technically acquirable) thanks to the information provided by weekly updated inventory files. It also allows viewing of Quick Looks on-line through EiNet for the Landsat 5 & 7 and ERS SAR missions and to prepare an order for the selected scenes.
Special support is provided for interferometry, in particular for the ERS-1 & 2 Tandem mission.
Its very fast search engine is able to perform in a few seconds searches on several missions with multi-area filtering. The inclusion of thematic maps can help the user to perform very complex searches or with mid-term planning.
